New Macbook Air Mini?

New rumors have emerged in Taiwan regarding the fact that Apple may be planning to enter the netbook market with a new Macbook Air, about 11.6 inch,slated to be released sometime later in 2010.Rumors has it that the ‘new Macbook Air’ will make use of Intel’s Core i-Series ultra low voltage processors.

Mingchi Kuo, senior analyst at Digitimes Research, claims that the new Apple Macbook will be manufatured by Quanta Computer with only 400,000 units being manufactured to test the market first. If it’s successful, I’m sure Apple will manufacture more units and make a breakthrough into the netbook market.

According to DigiTimes:

Kuo, citing discussions with upstream component makers, noted that the 11.6-inch MacBook Air will feature an even slimmer and lighter design than the previous-generation models.And the technologies used for the design and concept are expected to be broadly used in the company’s other product lines to boost their competitiveness

Mingchi added that ,a new iPod touch featuring a 3 megapixel camera , capable of both photo and video recording will be released sometime in September, based around Apple’s A4 processor, used in both the Apple iPhone 4 and Apple iPad.
