Apple’s White iPhone 4 Delay

In recent news, Apple announced on July 23rd, that they would be delaying the release of the white iPhone 4 to the mass, citing manufacturing challenges. This hasn’t been the first delay for the release of the white iPhone 4.

Ironically, during the press conference held to address the antenna issues, Steve Jobs specifically claimed that the white iPhone 4 would be shipped by the end of July…However,a week later, they announced that there would be a delay for their white iPhone 4.

Our friends from Engadget claimed that:

Specifically, the factory’s still working out the perfect combination of paint thickness and opacity—the former to ensure the next subcontractor has enough clearance for the digitizer overlay, and the latter for the absolute whiteness that Jony Ive and Co. strive for.

In my opinion, I think Apple is working on fixing the current antenna issues and would most probably release it by Sept 30th, the date when Apple’s free bumper case program expires.

    OH, bad new for white iphone fans! Especially the one who are waiting for it!
    White is a traditional color for Apple products, and the white one is really cool and lovely, but I think the black also tempting too, even looks a little mystical, so I got it. It is fantastic too…
    The iP4′s picture definition …I’m speachless….personally I really like the grouping of apps much tidier than before and the camera zoom. And as the iPhone 4 high-definition video clips, watch video on IPhone 4 are so cool and amazing! and I have download the iPhone 4 Video Converter from iFunia, Im ready for enjoying my favourite movies on the go!

    hmm, maybe I will also get the white one then this one give to my son!

    Well, I surely think the iPhone white is a great device but I’m more the black kinda person! Looking forward to it’s release in Singapore.
